Sierra Towers, located just steps from Los Angeles's famed Sunset Strip, is one of the city's most luxurious and exclusive residential condominium buildings.
Standing 31 stories tall, Sierra Towers is the tallest condominium building in West Hollywood, California. Sierra Towers was built in 1965 and designed by architect Jack A. Charney, who was influenced by Richard Neutra and Rudolf Schindler, two of the most prominent mid-century architects. It was constructed as an apartment building, called Spoon Apartment Building, and converted to condominiums in 1974.
Perched high on a promontory on the Sunset Strip, Sierra Towers' siting gives all of the units incredible views. The tower is situated at 9255 Doheny Road, above Beverly Hills, and stands 15 stories taller than any building in the vicinity. Many of Los Angeles's famed restaurants and clubs are located within walking distance.
With inspired mid-century architecture, the rectangular tower has 146 units ranging in size from approximately 1,100 to 3,000 square feet. There are six units on every floor. Many have been combined over the years to create even more stunning residences. Numerous celebrities have owned units at Sierra Towers through the years, including Elton John, Cher, and Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.
All of the units offer dramatic views of the Los Angeles cityscape and hills. Vistas range from Century City, to downtown Los Angeles, across the Santa Monica Mountains, to the Pacific Ocean.
